NCDMB, Mode Four Solutions train 50 youths on DStv, CCTV, Starlink installation in Bayelsa

A total of 50 participants have been trained in the installation and repair of DStv, CCTV and Starlink systems following a one-week technical training programme organised by Mode Four Solutions in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
The training, held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, brought together participants from different backgrounds and provided them with hands-on skills aimed at improving their capacity in the electronics and telecommunications sector.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Mode Four Solutions, Blessing Orji, expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board for the opportunity to implement the initiative.
Orji said the programme reflects a shared commitment to youth empowerment and the promotion of local content development in Nigeria’s technology and communications industries.
“We appreciate the trust reposed in us to execute this programme. We are committed to empowering youths and promoting local content development in the industry,” she said.
She noted that practical skills acquisition remains critical to addressing unemployment and improving the economic prospects of young people.
According to her, the training equipped participants with the technical knowledge required to install and repair satellite television systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and Starlink internet systems, thereby opening opportunities for self-employment and business growth.
“The skills acquired will enable participants to start their own businesses, create jobs and contribute to the growth of the economy,” Orji added.
Participants at the end of the programme were presented with certificates of completion as well as starter packs to support them in putting their newly acquired skills into practice.
Some of the trainees expressed appreciation to the organisers, describing the programme as a valuable opportunity to gain practical knowledge that could improve their livelihoods.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by stakeholders to empower youths through technical training while strengthening local participation in Nigeria’s growing technology and telecommunications sectors.
