NCDMB-sponsored Oracle Primavera P6 training ends in Bayelsa

A five-day training programme on Oracle Primavera P6, sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and executed by Mathnebi Nigeria Limited, has concluded in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The capacity-building programme, which ran from March 9 to 13, brought together 50 participants and focused on equipping them with practical project management skills using the Oracle Primavera P6 software.

The training was designed to strengthen participants’ ability to plan, schedule and manage projects effectively, particularly in sectors where the software is widely applied, including oil and gas, construction and engineering.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Company Secretary of Mathnebi Nigeria Limited, Florence Christian, expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board for entrusting the company with the responsibility of executing the training programme.

Christian also commended President Bola Tinubu for the continued support given to the board under the leadership of its Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, noting that the initiative would significantly enhance the capacity of Nigerian professionals across sectors where Oracle Primavera P6 is relevant.

According to him, the programme represents an important step in strengthening local expertise in project management and improving the efficiency of project delivery in Nigeria.

Participants drawn from various organisations also commended NCDMB and Mathnebi Nigeria Limited for organising what they described as a well-structured and impactful training programme.

They praised the facilitators for their professionalism, expertise and the quality of the training materials, noting that the programme exceeded their expectations and provided valuable practical knowledge.

The Oracle Primavera P6 training forms part of NCDMB’s broader efforts to build local capacity and promote the development of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Stakeholders believe that continued investment in professional training and skills development will help strengthen indigenous participation and contribute to sustainable growth within the sector.
